![]() ![]() But I guess thats subjective on my part as I generally dislike anything over 5000K. As for the cool white model, I would say this is 100% an upgrade if you are OK to compromise a few lumens for improved light quality. If your eyes are adjusted to candlelight or warm incandescents, the Nichia version will appear quite cool in comparison. I find the Nichia model was great in most conditions, and was especially great indoors surrounded by white walls, and on snow, whereby the whites rendered as white. The Nichia version is noticeably cooler than the Warm White, which can be good and bad depending on user preference and intended use. I think the biggest difference aside from the superior color rendering, will be the noticeable difference in CCT. I have had a XHP50 Warm White in the past that had a really bad greenish/yellow tint, but I have also read that some of their latest batches had a very good tint. The Nichia version falls in between with regards to colour temperature. Which XHP50 do you have, Cool White or Warm White? Very lightly used, with some signs of cosmetic wearīuck91 wrote: Love my Wizard Pro XHP50…must resist….Nichia…. Upgraded thicker wires for lower resistance and increased efficiency (by VIRENCE) Unfortunately, it also seems to still be in very limited availability in the UK and mostly at a higher-than-average price. Creamier slightly warmer version of the Wizard Nichia 144AM Other Armytek Wizard models are available in the 75-80 range, so the price increase seems to specifically apply to the Pro Nichia. Quad E21A 9080 4000K Neutral White LEDs, 98 CRI. This was purchased from Virence back when he did a limited edition run of modded Armyteks Magnetic USB-charging, head holder, arm holder, steel clip and plastic holder inclusive enable the use of the headlamp in every daily situation. $72 $75 $79 USD (Shipped to USA with tracking)ĪRMYTEK TIARA C1 PRO MAGNET USB – Quad Nichia E21A by VIRENCE Wizard Pro Nichia is the perfect combination of the Nichia diode and the innovative Armytek technology for an optimum color reproduction in unbelievably bright light current. Complete with Box, Manual, USB Charging Cable, Headstrap, etc Beautiful Nichia 144AM 4500K 90CRI LED will make most of your other lights look like puke Shipping usually takes just over 1 week from door to door. Acebeams H30 has HighCRI for close range but it's a bit too expensive for a headlamp (some reports says it's also heavy due to bigger battery). All prices include tracked shipping to the USA. Thus I will probably choose a Wizard Pro Warm White or AceBeam H30 or H15. I'm buying new headlamp and don't know if it's worth to wait. No details what kind and what diodes and when. There's no such product so either its' a "money issue" meaning they have a production line they need to keep to earn enough money or there's some technical problem with those LEDs, for example they burn fast or many of them are failed.Īrmytek is going to release a new headlamp next year but it's only a spoken word. Nowadays there is so big competition between companies that they should already produce lamp with best LED available. What is the problem to produce lamp with better LED? I believe LED are relatively cheap. I don't see so big differences on the screen but I had to believe there are when one can test various lamps on live on the field. More over there's no solid promise from Armytek, no release date and actually one post was saying about a limited versions of those lamp due to tech difficulties.Īnd all that in case when everybody seems to be really happy with Wizard Pro V3 Wharm White. More over CREE also got 90 CRI versions of theirs XHP50.2 so why they won't go with CREE? It should be easier to produce if they are already building CREE versions. And it seems that fans are awaiting since 2017! Is that Nichia 144A really so much better? As far as I understand those tables it's not brighter nor have significant lower power usage. The bigger difference would be that Nichia will have higher CRI but then it will be less bright than XHP50.2 warm white thus both headlamps could be very similar in an outside usage/forest/hiking as I believe that higher brightness is more important than high CRI for such purposes. Actually that test is lacking beam photos in the garden, on the fields to prove that Nichia 144A is indeed better. Please explain me why all Armyteks' fans await for Armytek Wizard Pro based on Nichia 144A? The only test I have found is this one but I don't see big differences in numbers in favour of Nichia 144A.
